Last Night saw the conclusion of one of the most thrilling rummy tournament in recent times, Monsoon Powerfest at Deccan Rummy. Truth be said, the tournament couldn’t have come at a better time than this time. As the Pandemic continues to wreck havoc, rummy has emerged as a favorite diversion for many to keep their spirits up.
Monsoon Powerfest was one of the monthly special tournaments which hit the chord with the players. As the main motive was to entertain players and offer them a chance to win some cash, the tournament was conducted over the span of 6 days with 3 satellites, 2 qualifiers, and a grand finale. Every single rummy tournament ran into full house and people enthusiastically participated in it. As free tickets were issued to progress to the next level, the competition was stiff.
Last night, the Finale unrolled in a grand fashion. With 1 Lakh prize money up for grabs, players from all walks of life participated in the event. Congrats to Ajithrockydon for his never-say-die spirit to overcome the odds and capture this title. For his splendid achievement, he’s pocketing a big share from the 1 Lakh Prizepool. This was the first major win for Ajithrockydon and it couldn’t have come at a better time. While others fought hard and displayed tremendous resolve, it was Ajith who with his skill and resolve prevailed in a tough field. By championing such a flagship tournament, Ajithrockydon finds himself catapulted to the elite league. With a lot of exciting contests ahead, Ajithrockdon would be a force to reckon in the future.
Deccan Rummy extends our hearty congratulations to shockrzzz and aarushi who secured the second and third spot respectively. Despite falling short of the magical No 1 position, their game play was stupendous enough to outplay several other regulars. It was that Ajithrockydon was the better player yesterday.
