It is human nature to be prone to mistakes. Rummy is no exception to this. A few mistakes and strategy loopholes in the game will bring your party crashing down. We have observed a set of common mistakes rummy players make that we have listed here for your reference. Supreme Court has declared rummy as a legal card game so players can stop worrying about the consequences of playing card games.

Negligence of Discard Pile

This is the biggest mistake players keep making continuously, that causes them to lose. Before they start building castles in the air about victory, players must keep a watch on the discard pile. If your opponent is picking up cards you discard, then you must be double cautious not to drop any further cards which he might pick up. For this, you must be insightful about the cards your opponents are holding.

Overplaying the game

We see some of the players hopelessly slogging it out after being dealt an undesirable combination of cards. Rather than dropping the game early, we see those players persisting and waiting for the opponents to drop their dream card. While we appreciate players’ endurance and patience, players must understand that their probability of winning the game is very less if their opponents are successfully picking cards from the open deck. They must act proactively in such scenarios.

Failure to drop out

If your hand cards are hopelessly undesirable, then there is no point in persisting with the game. Dropping out of the game at the beginning would save you points. If you get hand cards with no possibilities of a set/sequence, no jokers or any connected cards then consider dropping out of the game early to avoid the embarrassment of losing with high points.

Heading to High stakes tables with minimal exposure

We have always been suggesting our players  play practice tables first and get properly acclimatized with the game play. The more you practice, the more chance you have to win games. Unfortunately, some players without sufficient practice under their belt head over to the high stakes games and lose miserably. As we have mentioned many times, we play host to a bastion of players with exceptional skills across the country. To compete with them, one must equip them self with sufficient skills to even stand a chance. Having said this, those who had followed our five effective Rummy Strategies have found themselves in a comfortable position.

Flimflam in Chat feature

We have always encouraged players to have normal chat regarding game play/strategies using our Interactive chat feature as Online Rummy has always been an interactive game. However, we see some players are carried away too much by this feature and are engaging in flimflam and personal flaming in the chat feature. Because of this even committed players get distracted and lose the game. We request the players to exercise restraint while using chat feature and avoid such meaningless banters.

Lack of Patience

Patience is a virtue. In fact, it is the mother of all virtues. You do not become a billionaire the very day you start a business. Online Rummy follows a similar pattern. It takes time to understand the game, absorb the intricate features, sufficient practice and a solid dedication to gain artistry in Rummy. Players who follow this hierarchy are immensely successful. Our Festive Freeroll tournament which was conducted this Diwali has been a roaring success. It’s another feather in our cap that we are wearing in pride – courtesy of our stunning players. We already knew the festive freeroll tourney was destined to be a success, given our players’ love towards the game and enthusiasm they have been showing all along. But we must admit the turnout for these tournaments had been exceeded our expectations. We could see players from all walks of life rushing in and actively competing. What we like most about our players is their willingness to accept any challenge. It reminds us of the quote “It is not if you win or lose; it’s how you play the game”. Kudos to all the players who took the plunge and played the game in good spirits.

The tournaments were structured in a way so that the players could have a smooth sailing. But, it still doesn’t discredit the monumental efforts by the players who were able to cruise through, overcoming all the challenges they encountered. The winners had to slog it out with some of the best players across this country to get to that position. So, on this special occasion we must applaud their relentless efforts and enthusiasm. Congratulations rummy champions, you made us really proud.

How to register for Diwali Tourneys

The festive freeroll tournament announced for Diwali has elicited lots of interest in our players. We see many players contacting us to know about the registration process for the tournaments. In response to the anxious players, we are explaining here in detail about the procedure to register for the Diwali Freeroll tournaments.

Tourney Dates: Oct 30, Oct 31

Price Pool: Rs. 60,000 (each day)

How to Register

1. You are allowed to register till the game begins (subject to seat availability)
2. Player needs to login to his account with his username and password
3. Under Lobby, the player needs to click on Tournament tab, Select Special tab and click on the “join” button available next to both the tournaments (Diwali Spl1 & Diwali Spl2) once the registration is opened. Please note that entry to the tournament is restricted to players who have deposited min Rs. 300 within the last 2 days.
4. Click on “ Yes, I want to join” button to complete your registration

Prize Money

• Total prize money offered in this tournament is Rs 60000. One sixty one (161) participants are eligible for cash prizes with the winner taking a giant share.
• The prize money would be credited directly to the user account which the player can check by clicking My Account tab where they can view their Account Balance.

Tournament Structure

1. A maximum of 240 Players can participate
2. A table can have a maximum of 6 players
3. A minimum of 120 registrants is required for the tournament to commence.
4. Every round in the tournament has 3 deals.
5. After logging in, Players can also refer the tournament structure by clicking on the “details” option of the respective tournaments.
6. *If there are two or more players with similar points at the end of a round, then our software randomly selects a player, who then moves into the next round

Game Play for Special tourneys

1. All the 240 players would be accommodated in the 40 tables with 6 players each in one table.
2. At the end of the first round, top 2 players from each table move to the second round
3. Round 2 also referred as quarterfinal has 80 players seated at 14 tables. At the end of the second round, one winner from each of the 14 tables moves into the third round.
4. Round 3 also referred as semi-final has 14 players seated at 3 tables. At the end of the third round, one winner from each of the 3 tables moves to the Fourth Round
5. Round 4 also referred as Final round has 3 players seated in a table. The winner of the final round takes the big share of the prize money.
