IPL 2019 Bonanza – SRH vs Delhi Capitals – Predict & double your wins!

In the most important eliminator match of the tournament, Delhi Capitals will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad at ACA-VDCA Stadium in Vizag. The winner of the match will have one more hurdle before finals as they have to face CSK team in qualifier 2 in the same venue. As expected, Rohit Sharma led Mumbai side maintained their dominance over CSK in yesterday’s Qualifier 1 and stormed their way into the finals. Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals will square off for the third time in a crucial match where one of them will be knocked out from the competition and the other would have to labor their way into the final.

Delhi Capitals vs SRH

Delhi Capitals – Surprise Package

Delhi Capitals have been exceptional throughout the tournament. Much was expected of Delhi team when it had the likes of Sehwag, Kevin Peterson, Ross Taylor around, but they could never fulfill their huge expectation all these years. Handing over the captaincy to the young Shreyas Iyer from Goutham Gambhir raised a lot of eyebrows but he has removed all doubts by leading from the front. During some instances, Delhi Capitals even topped the tables. With some additional focus, they could have well topped the league. Now, they are into the playoffs after seven long years. Hiring the services of former Australian skipper Ricky Ponting and Indian legend Sourav Ganguly has immensely helped them. Delhi Capitals have been a revelation, a complete surprise this tournament. Nobody gave them a chance prior to the start of the season but they have delivered an enviable performance.

Shikhar Dhawan, Prithwi Shaw and the skipper himself, Shreyas Iyer were among the runs. The trio has been peaking wonderfully and the team would once again rely on them to provide a blistering start. However, the Delhi side has a cause of worry in the absence of Kagiso Rabada, who is at present the purple cap holder with 25 wickets. Trent Boult who is in place of Rabada has a big shoe to fill. Delhi Capital’s away record should give some confidence. Also, they are into the match after a victory over Rajasthan Royals.

SRH – blowing hot and cold

Sunrisers Hyderabad must consider themselves lucky having qualified for the tournament. With 12 points, they become the first to do so. However, that doesn’t undermine the brilliant work David Warner and Johnny Bairstow did during their stint with the league. However, SRH doesn’t have the services of Bairstow and Warner anymore as they are on to national duties. Martin Guptill and Wriddhiman Saha have a big shoe to fill. Kane Williamson, who has been struggling with the bat, returned to form with a classy half-century against RCB, which should be a good sign for the men in orange. However, SRH has lost 5 of their last 6 matches so they must obviously be low on confidence.

SRH’s biggest strength has been their bowling. Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, Khaleel Ahmed, and the Afghani duo Rashid Khan and Mohammed Nabi have been impressive throughout the tournament. Vijay Shankar, who has been selected for the WC in England, has serious form issues with a string of low scores. He would be gunning for a big store in this match.

It’s simply SRH’s bowling against Delhi’s batting. SRH’s powerful bowling line up would like to exploit DC’s batting which can become vulnerable after quick wickets. SRH have faced DC twice in this tournament with both the teams winning a match apiece. In the head to head encounter between both the sides, SRH has 9 victories compared to DC’s 5 in the 14 matches they played against each other. The stadium is said to be spinner friendly. So’ it’s unlikely we would have a high scoring game. Whatever be the outcome, we are sure to have a thrilling encounter. When the team struggled all the way to reach up to this place, it is only obvious they would put in a ferocious struggle to go further.

IPL 2019 contest: Mumbai vs SRH – Pick your winner & win double!

If any of the two teams are close to qualifying for the playoffs in this ongoing IPL 2019 contest, then they are Mumbai and SRH (Sunrisers Hyderabad). Separated by just two points with SRH at 12 points and MI at 14 points, both the teams will square off in Mumbai tonight in the 51st match of the IPL. Both the teams have every chance in the world to end up in the top two positions as they have better NRR when compared to the other teams’ loss for SRH would be detrimental to their prospects of qualifying for the playoffs.

SRH – missing links

SRH will find it tough without their openers David Warner and Johnny Bairstow to get a start. The Aussie-English pair has been prolific throughout this season and they have played a great role in all their wins. In their absence, SRH would be trying to rope in Martin Guptill in the team in place of Warner and with Wriddhiman Saha joining the ranks already, they would expect Guptill and Saha to deliver.

Kane Williamson’s form is a cause for worry, he would like to return to the thick of the action with a big score tonight. Manish Pandey returning to form after a series of inconsistent performances is a positive sign for SRH. Kane Williamson led side would like to compensate for their batting woes with their bowling department which has been consistent. SRH’s bowlers have been outstanding throughout the tournament. The Afghani duo (Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi), Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, and Khaleel Ahmed were brilliant this season.

Mumbai – one stop to final

Team Mumbai is coming into the match after a 3-day break from their previous match where they were mauled relentlessly by Andre Russell’s brutal assault. Despite Hardik Pandya’s heroics, the 233 target was too daunting. Rohit Sharma has enough time to ponder over the team combination after 4 away matches where their success rate has been 50%. Mumbai might consider including Mitchell McClenaghan to bolster their bowling line up.

Despite scoring in excess of 300 runs each, neither of Quinton De Kock or Rohit Sharma has hit the straps. With World Cup approaching in a few days, both the batsmen who are opening the innings for their respective countries have to return to form. Jasprit Bumrah and Lasith Malinga will have to keep things tight. A win for the Rohit Sharma led franchise would bolster their chances to top the league.

Predict & Win double

In the 13 matches both the teams have played between themselves, SRH has a slight upper hand with 7 wins. The 51st game is at Wankhede Stadium tonight at 8 PM. Who do you think would prevail in this crucial encounter? Would it be the uber-calm Kane Williamson or cool and calculative Rohit Sharma?

IPL 2019 Contest – KKR vs RCB – Predict & Win Big!

KKR  – Hot and cold!

Kolkata Knight Riders will host Royal Challengers Bangalore tonight at their home turf Eden Gardens stadium in Kolkata. KKR has been blowing hot and cold this season. In some matches, they snatched victory right from the jaws of the losses, lost a few matches that they could have won so easily and are reeling at present in the sixth position. Having lost three of their last four matches, KKR needs four victories at least in the next 6 matches to stay in contention for a playoff position.

The Shahrukh Khan-owned franchise’s biggest trump card has been Andre Russell, who has been breathing fire this season. It was indeed Russell’s blistering cameos which helped KKR secure their four victories this season. It has simply been a one-man-show, this season for KKR. The focus will once again be on Andre Russell, who’s been struggling with injuries over the last two games. Much of Dinesh Karthik led side’s fortunes relies on Russell’s fitness. Dinesh Karthik, Chris Lynn, and Sunil Narine are yet to come up with performances that justify their talent. And today’s game is crucial for Dinesh Karthik, as his world cup selection at the expense of Rishab Pant has raised several questions. Deekay would want to make a point with a stunning knock which is due for some time now.

RCB  – Party Spoiler

For RCB, this has been a dismal season. With just one victory out of eight games, Virat Kohli led side is languishing at the bottom of the table. Despite Kohli’s and AB De Villiers spirited performances with the bat, their bowling and fielding have let their team down so badly. Now, their chances of securing a playoff are nearly over as they need to win all the six games remaining which is highly unlikely with their current form. However, they can play a spoilsport on a few team’s chances in the games remaining.

IPL 2019 – SRH vs CSK – Predict and win double!

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and SunRisers Hyderabad will clash for the first time this season in a match today at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. The last time they met was during the final of the previous year’s edition where Shane Watson’s murderous assault on the hapless SRH bowlers sealed their fate. This year things have changed a lot for both the sides.

MS Dhoni-led CSK is comfortably placed at the top with seven wins out of eight matches. On the other hand, SRH is languishing at the bottom of the table with just three wins from seven games. CSK is off from a victory over KKR that saw Suresh Raina coming to form after an indifferent season and have more or less confirmed their place in the playoffs whereas SRH is off from three consecutive losses.
